Yes, another Peppers thread.

yeah, this would drop his value down a lot. anything that he does to hurt the team will be seen as a big negative for any other team wanting him. all he is going to do is get 1 year contract offers from then on. very few teams would feel that they could depend on him for long before his wanderlust kicked in. this also makes him seem a lot less of a team player than what they would like to sign big multi year contracts to.

Which in total hurts the Panthers.

And this could not be included in one of the thousand other Peppers Threads because of..........................................still waiting.

Because I don't start that many threads and I think my opinion is just as important as anyone else on this board. This thread, so far, hasn't been hijacked as the many other peppers, etc. threads have.

The entire tag is not owed to Pepp if he doesn't sign before the 1st game. The amount is prorated on a per game basis of about $1 million per game. If he waits until the 10th game to sign, he get's a whopping $6 million the rest of the season. It is not in Peppers best interest to not sign the tender.

Now that makes some sense. I hope it's fact.

Your opinion is just as important....that is the point. There is no reason to start a new thread every hour about the same topic.

The fact is I don't have time to wade through countless threads and replies within the thread to get my question answered. These threads take off on tangents, as you know, and it is hard to get a question answered after a thread has several posts. I haven't read anywhere that I can't start a post on something that has a related post. I had a specific question that no one else has asked. You have the right to not read, answer or whatever. I will make a post when I feel it important to me. If you have a problem with it, put me on the ignore list. I'm not aggravated at you, trying to be a hard ass or anything of the sort. I just find it necessary to ask a question, once in a while. If this offended you, my sincere apology. Let's go drink a beer sometime.

Don't get me wrong, I did not mean this as an attack on you. I have absolutely no issue with you at all.

The mods have asked repeatedly that everyone not to start a million threads on the same topic.

They may have and, I agree, there should be better control on threads than what we have. My problem is, when you post in a thread that has several pages worth, it is usually diluted from the original so much it doesn't even apply. I rarely make a post, but when I do it is to ask a specific question and then be done with it. The moderators need to get a handle on hijacking threads instead of policing thread titles.
