6/19? Sorry no.

I don't subscribe to this "throwing into the fire" argument, if you have the goods then throwing you into the fire won't do you any harm... don't think David Carr ever had the goods.

When it comes to reading defenses and throwing the ball accurately, I don't think Cam has the goods.

Cam isn't starting the season period. not ready is a complete understatement. I don't give a poo about rushing yards or rushing TD's unless its from our Running backs.

An NFL QB must be able to pass the damn ball and above all things be accurate. The knocks on the kid coming out are really becoming glaring issues in the preseason. with it 'just being pre season' he should look a hell of a lot better than this.

Who exactly is ready?? Clausen?? Anderson???

Bottom line is that Newton is the best guy we have so he starts ready or not. Short of bring in a vet to start, that is what we will do.

What a quarterback has to do is move the sticks by any means possible and score points. If he can do that better than Clausen or Anderson then he starts.

I am all for trading for Brady and bringing him in this year. Good luck on that. As for Clausen or Anderson, not so much......................

Sigh... How many passing touchdowns did Jimmy Clausen have in the preseason last year? How many rushing touchdowns did he have? How many interceptions did he throw? How many combined TD, rushing and passing, did our QBs have in the preseason last year?

Matt Moore threw for 0 TDs, rushed for 0 TDs, threw 1 interception, lost 1 fumble, and took 4 sacks.

Jimmy Clausen threw 0 TDs, rushed for 0 TDs, threw 2 interceptions, and fumbled the ball twice. He was sacked four times.

Cam has not thrown an interception, been sacked four times, has not fumbled, and unlike the others was the main reason we scored a touchdown in the preseason. He is ahead of where they were last year despite not having OTAs and Camp. He will be fine. People read too much into things. Start the panic when we have played a few regular season games. To tell the truth the only thing I would like to see Cam do is stop always trying to force a ball to Steve Smith.

Read what was written on other sites, he went 6 of 19 with 7 incomplete passes to Steve Smith. He also looked like he was staying away from the Tight Ends early on purpose. You won't see that once the games count.

Don't like it don't read it and esp. don't reply to it. But you just couldn't stop your self huh?

Tell me what is different from the content in your OP and the one The Saltman started on the front page that's titled "Cam is not ready". Why is this so hard for you to understand?

he'll start

and the coaching staff will fit our game to his specialties. i don't feel like that's what's been happening the past 3 weeks. they want to see if he can stand in the pocket and be a pocket passer, and last night didn't really show that he's able to do that yet. he looked good on rollouts, veers etc. expect more of that come week 1, and i think cam will look a lot better than he does now.

hard to fit out game aroudn a QB who can't accurately throw the ball.

Well, we could always run the Wildcat with Cam lined up at QB....that would play to his strength.
