Biggest problem I saw tonight...

Recommended Posts

Honestly imo the biggest problem is coming from the defensive side. I know the offense is gonna stank until the o line is healthy and cam is comfortable, but i didnt realize how bad this defense was. WE have good safetys and great linebackers but i didnt see the bengals smacking us in the mouth like they did. I thought the d was gonna be one of the good things from this team with sean mcdermott, but maybe they havent gotten it together yet

When one of my friends, a fellow Panther fan, asked me what I thought we would do this season in regards to W/Ls... I said, realistically, 5-7 wins. The homer part of me wanted to say 10.

After watching this team the last 2 weeks, with watching yesterday's game under the assumption that we game planned for it... I'm gonna say we may be more in the 3-4 win category.

If Cam is starting, we'll have a better chance to win more games than we did last year because he occasionally hits on long throws and his ability to run... So we'll score more points than last year, but nothing to brag about. But regardless of what any individual does on offense, it won't be enough.

This OL is HORRIBLE. Same for the defensive line, in fact, the DL might be worse than the OL. And with that in mind, we're in for an ugly season. Very ugly. The DL is strikingly more horrible than last years, which is really, really, really bad.

All summer I've been thinking how our offense did our defense no favors last year, going 3-and-out every drive, keeping the D on the field too much. Now, what Cam and our offense need more than anything is a defense that gets off the field, helping put our offense in favorable field position so we can work to actually sustain some offensive drives. Now I see a defense that is content to be on the field for 70% of the game. fml

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
