NHL is great but no madden.... and I've never played a soccer game thats anywhere near as good as the LEGENDARY Madden NFL

Madden used to be legendary, then they got scared by the 2k series and had to buy out all the Football Licenses, then proceeded to make the same game with updated rosters and minuscule tweaks to an average football game for the past 4 years. I'm glad they've stripped the game completely, it's about time. They should have done this for the 2007 game for the new generation systems but they didn't. The past few years madden has been nothing but an average sports game.

That's the reason NHL 08 and 09 have won back to back sports games of the years from almost all major game publications. Because they are the two best sports games ever made.

generally it is extremely fun, but certain things... AI, some odd graphics, overdone UI, etc. I agree with what someone said earlier, they need to make it more like NCAA 09 in its presentation. they overdo it with that, and it could be simplified which would make it a lot better. to be honest, NCAA has been a better football game the fast couple years

While I give the props to 94 if you've played 09, you would say it's the best sports game ever.

i hope they make a 2 RB running system for the game..

its going to suck to play with jake...they have his ratings so low..he throws picks all the time in the game.

Run the ball, don't try to use cheap passing plays, play sim. Problem solved.

Well I just want to say. I have been a long time madden fan since his first madden game came out. But the last 2 years on 360 has been crappy. I bought 07 for 360 and it was good. But 08 and 09 was not good at all. I think the speed and the graphics of ncaa football 09 should be on Madden 10. Because I love my ncaa football 09. I play it about every day.But graphic wise and speed wise I am glad it's changed. But hopefully for the good and not the bad. But Ea needs to work on franchise mode offline big time. They need to reinsert owner mode into franchise mode then fix the rating of the players and then I will get 2010. But until ea fixes these problems I will even touch madden like I have not in the past few years.

I've seen the game progress from 06 to 09 and the 2k versions and nothing will compare to 94

2k is garbage in hockey. You've seen the progress? Have you played it? Online 6 on 6 create a player game leagues. the action on the ice is fast and hard hitting. 08 didn't have any big time hits but 09 does. Good franchise mode and great regular online play.

I personally don't own 09 but played a ton of the online at my friends place and it was fun along with the normal game. But for some reason I'm way better at 07, than any other recent hockey game in the modern era (*00's on), and I do own 00-04 (NHL's/2k) and NHL 06/08 as well. I didn't like 08 because for some reason and this may just be my case when I would completely out hit/shoot/chance/face off the other person I would still somehow lose and it made no sense to me. I'm talking doubling at least in all those categories and I would still lose. 2k had some good hockey, in my opinion, from like 04-06 in comparison to NHL franchise.

The reason 94 is superior is because of the simplicity that the average fan can pick it up and play and be competitive while from 07 on you have to use the thumb sticks and all the buttons. And in the modern era 98ish on, the complex controllers weeds out alot of the non-technological generation
