Cam is not ready

Put in Derek Anderson, and I garuantee the O-line will look better. Why? Cam is working on his footwork, his accuracy, and not looking like rookie QB. (Which he is) So that leaves no room to adjust pass protection, to give a nice hard count, to maneuver in the pocket. The things that seperate a true QB from the pretenders. DA is not perfect, but experience is better than what we have out there now. Derek may not have a full liscence to drive an offense, but at least he has his permit. You don't give the car keys to a child. He will take it and crash.

So your thought process is the OL will play better because of hard-counts? Their ability to hold blocks and create running lanes will improve when somebody not named Cam or any other young gun gets the start? Adjusting pass protection does NOTHING if you're simply getting beat 1-on-1 like our entire line was for the majority of the game.

You want better OL play? I'll tell you how. Either buy some talent or coach the piss out of what we have. Who we have in the backfield is irrelevant to how the OL plays.

So how do you explain Gross, Wharton, and Kalil looking like joes last night?

Wait, what? They didn't play well. I will say, the left side did look better than the right. But the OL ended up in the Cam's lap a LOT early (particularly in the first two drives).

Watching the Iggles highlights from last night...it amazes me some of the similarities Michael Vick and Cam have.

The best news is, is that Cam is a much better passer than Vick was when he came in.

Physically bigger too...And since the biggest knock on Vick these days is his proneness to injury..

Is it really possible we got an upgraded version of Michael Vick?

How ironic would that be after all those years we spent hating that man with the white hot intensity of a thousand burning suns..

Only because Cam was standing there like a statue. I'm certain Tom Brady would have danced in the pocket on those two plays. Also, Cam has to learn to hard count and change up the snap pace. A brick wall couldn't stop an opposing defense, if said defense knows exactly when Cam will get the ball.

Your post proves my fuging point. Some people on here expect Cam to be Tom fuging Brady. Why? Why expect a rookie to be flawless (or damn near)? Cam did his job. Drop back in the middle of the pocket. When you have your eyes down field and 3 of your OLinemen are being shoved into your lap right about the time you have to make a decision, as a rookie, it isn't going to be good. I'm certain Tom Brady would have danced in the pocket as well. But we don't have Tom fuging Brady. We have a talented rookie who is still learning a new system (as is everybody) and adjusting to the NFL in a shortened off-season.
