Cam is not ready

So u sit and pick apart everything Cam; yet dismiss the O-line as not being great..OKAY..

you're obviously new here and know nothing about what I've posted in the past so i'm going to go easy here and explain to you that even if the o-line struggled, cam has the tools and capabilities to move around in the pocket, escape pressure, and extend plays. he didn't do that nearly enough.

I didn't give Jimmy any freebies last year either. yeah the o-line didn't play great but he played like utter crap as well. It's the exact same with cam this game.

dear lordy some of you guys are hypocrites.

Cam looked like crap tonight, no way around it. when he set his feet and threw the ball right he threw some nice passes. too bad 2/3 of his passes were all arm and him just winging the ball trying to get it somewhere quickly.

yeah the O-line didn't play all that great, so what? he had plenty of opportunities to get the ball out quickly, but held on to it too long and got into trouble. he's relying too much on his arm strength alone and his fundamentals are being thrown out the window. dude just needs to get his feet right and he can be a good QB.

Cam's not ready to start

Jimmy's not ready to start

Start derek anderson already.

I'm starting to think this as well, but not because Cam looks so horrible there's no hope for him this year, but because I had no idea our defense was as bad as it appears to be, and what's the point setting the guy up for certain failure from day one when you have a journeyman to take those lumps?

Our TV broadcasters won't say anything negative about Cam. If they do have critism, it's usually prefaced or somehow bracketed with "rookie, learning, in time, with coaching, etc..."

Heck, on one of Jimmy's high passes, dude said "nearly a pick 6." He wouldn't have said that about an errant Cam pass.

Thanks Snake Fist for the negative swag, it's great to know how people will do their best to discourage you from telling the truth.

Man we missed so many opportunities for drafting Cam. And for what? 21-52 in preseason play? I don't believe this we could've gotten Dareus, and then traded up for a better DT than what we got.

can't dispute cam has accuracy issues & hate to inform people but that's not going to change much this year. i see him completing 52-55% of his passes at best. i said it last year about clausen & feel the same way about newton, you play him now, you take your lumps & you figure out if he is the guy you want to build around long term.

Oh no

Don't break out stats here on the huddle.

Lesson 1) Stats mean nothing

Lesson 2) Preseason means nothing

Lesson 3) Season means nothing

Learn those three things and you will make it just fine here

What is your obsession with "the other QBs"? Yet just today, stories were flying all over about how poor Ponder has been and how he's not even going to make the #2 on the Vikings.

Though I put no stock in it as some kind of long term projection, Cam is terribly inaccurate. Maybe the reason 'the media' (who?) hasn't started harping on the other Qbs is that... they aren't as inaccurate? I mean, cam does have the lowest completion percentage, tho obviously there is way more to accuracy than that.

Ur kidding right.... At last check, Blaine's bad throws were blamed on the offense. Dayton bad throws weren't his fault and Jake's bad throws were considered a set-back. The media tends to filter things so they can always looks right. Who are we kidding.

They clearly stated that they weren't going to give Cam any room to breathe. He was either going to be throwing lights out or he was a failure..

They stated that they were going to over scrutinize him, something they didn't do to Sam Bradford last year. So when u say ur going to over scrutinize someone, that leaves me to believe that the person isn't as bad as ur making them out to appear.

Question, do u see much of an improvement between Jimmy's preseason last year and this year?
