What happened to waiting 3 years to evaluate a draft class. What happened to giving him time to learn the game. It is still preseason and people are already bitching. At that rate this season is going to go on forever and this board will be a total waste of time.

What floors me is how ignorant all of this talk really is. People expecting him to look good at this point really know nothing about football at all. And peple criticizing him as just as ignorant as well. The last rookie who looked good was Rothlisburger and he had a great defense and running game to back him up. Unless we have the same you can expect our team and Newton to struggle mightily.

Seems schizophrenic to me. For months we have talked about how we wouldn't be very good and how Newton would struggle if he started. Then when we look bad in the preseason it is as if people are totally surprised and stunned. Earth to the Newton critics. Come in for your daily reality check.

People say yeah it is the preseason and then go right on bashing him. Give it a rest. Otherwise your ignorance is overwhelmingly apparent.

Dont get so mad bro.

I said he wasnt ready to start in the NFL. I never said he wouldnt be good in time. You people need to calm down.

Matt Moore is also significantly better than Cam Newton at this point, so bringing up him makes you look stupid 2 ways.

Where they need to be as a rookie QB who is transitioning.

And false. Forgive me if I don't trust your opinion on QB's, and you are doing nothing to help your case, by making ridiculous statements that directly contradict his obvious improvement.

Keep adding to that sentence and eventually you will realize that you were just wrong in the beginning.

He will get better as he gets more comfortable and starts making better decisions.

Or if the team keeps playing like it did tonight for the first few weeks, he may not get comfortable, fans may call for his head, Rivera may bench him and start Jimmy when we're struggling... and I just would rather have it be Jimmy who we are calling to bench ;P

:lol: We can't expect Cam to look good ever but guys like Dalton, Locker, Bradford, all those guys can look good as rookies but Cam is different, Cam is special :lol:

dont troll too much. The guy had no help what so ever. Our O Line Looked worse tonight then the Rams did last year.

That says a lot.

I would be shocked if any Rookie QB is ready in the Pre-season. This poo Oline is going to make the growing pains that much worse this year. Our defense is what scares me, we have no push on the inside and are getting ran over. There is not one Rookie starting on that side of the ball.
