Cam is not ready

He just needs reps. Like i said, the fundamentals of his game are progressing nicely.

His footwork in the pocket tonight looked like an NFL QB. He has to get comfortable in the pocket. Getting Otah back will help, as he won't have a reason to feel he has to chuck the ball out asap.

offense showed a wrinkle here or there but it seemed pretty vanilla and plain... hopeful for improvement next week, since I expect he'll play one quarter at least.

Hopefully our D will be capable of stopping someone, so we'll see more than one fugging possession in the first quarter!

If he was amazingly inaccurate he wouldn't have made a completion. Lets see your Matt Moore or even Tom brady get good passed off with the crappy OL play we had tonight. Geez.

News Flash: NFL QBs have to make throws under pressure.

No, that's not what you said. You said they were where they need to be.

They are not, on any level, no matter how you slice it. His fundamentals are absolutely terrible.

Doesn't matter, he isn't to blame for all of it, but you guys slobbering right now realize what his passing stats are and how he looked against that BENGALS

To be honest, even if the play calls were terrible you still have to make the plays and he flat out didn't...did you see the balls in the dirst (again) or over thrown?

Good thing Olsen is 7 foot tall.

Yea he made some poor throws and had some dirt balls, I admit he has bouts on inaccuracy, but im not expecting him to be Godly and the good outweighed the bad for me. He made some excellent throws and seemed to step into his passes more and threw off his back foot less this game and that's where most of his inaccuracy happens. I also though that Olsen throw was high on purpose. Looked to me Cam threw it high to exploit the size mismatch, he put it where the defender couldn't get it, that's what you want.

Playing calling wasn't great but you still have to make the plays that are called...wasn't happening

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
