Cam is not ready

well actually yes he did, the play just got called back... :p

yes you're right, everyone else is playing well and he's not doing anything at all.

except... well, making throws, finding open guys, making reads, changing plays. yeah, nothing.

give credit where credit is due. Dalton was making plays, even if he had a lot of help.

Yeah, and OL has nothing to do with making throws, finding open guys, making reads, etc.....

this is the ONLY game Dalton hasn't faced pressure......and you see the difference in his play.

QB play ain't just about the QB.....

did you WATCH him against the Jets? He started out awful but put together some good effort and looked decent after the first couple series'. He's a rookie, he's learning, he's doing what he's supposed to and *doing it well*. He's not doing it alone, no, but it's ignorant to think all he did was pretty much hand off.

he played well tonight... obviously he isn't peyton fugging manning but he looked good.

If you give it to a running back and if he can get 3+ yards everytime, it puts the offence in a great rhythm. If you have your right side of your line collaspe almost every play it has the opposite effect. Cam would have looked spectacular against us, and Dalton would have looked like Jimmy.

I think a grandma in a wheelchair can run on this Panthers D-line which is why I think the point of this thread is stupid. Yeah! Dalton is schooling Cam by handing it off to the running back over and over.

That's what I saw as well. Yeah, Cam was shaky, but that's not the story here.

Our Dline is pure sh*t and got wiped out completely on almost every play. Jesus, what was the Bengals ypc in the first half, 10.5? And that makes two weeks in a row vs a couple of teams who aren't expected to be very good. This is a big problem.

I think this has less to do with Newton and much more to do with our offensive line

Seems to me that when this happened to Jimmy Last year, a lot of people seems to still blame the guy.

Cam is still throwing off his back foot. There were some plays where he NEEDED to run and didn't. That sack, he didn't feel the pressure. Which surprised me because he's usually good with that. He scored a TD, a RUSHING TD, good for him. I'm glad he got the monkey off his back. There's still work to be done. One more game and we'll see what happens to him

    • Happy Thanksgiving y’all. Thankful for a very good team and for this group to talk canes.  Eat drink celebrate our win bs the rags. This team is cup ready.
    • I don't think should be seen as an insult, legitimately. Teddy's floor was consistently a good game manager to his ceiling of border-line top 10 QB who's arm strength didn't blow you away but could make all the throws and generally made good decisions and had some sneaky athleticism.  Teddy started on quite a few teams. He had a good start to his career, had a horrific injury that could have ended his career, came back and played himself into being a starter, got a contract here (and subsequently became another victim of Tepper's impetuousness), and then started games for a few other teams. Teddy could have been a franchise QB had he not suffered a freak injury, and then he just never ended up in another stable situation. He still had a good NFL career that could have been great without that injury. Teddy before that injury did look like a franchise QB, and I dont think that's a bad comp for Young nor an insult in terms of what his career could be based on that comparison.
    • Absolutely the wrong take. We have to run and gun. We have zero post presence. We just have to make shots. We just can't hit water from a boat tonight and we're turning it over to boot. Then you have a poor shooting opponent shooting lights out.  Looks like a long season ahead of us though if Hubert doesn't adapt to this roster. We have to play a pressure trapping D and get out in transition because we aren't beating anyone in the half court.
