I remember him he played in my highschool conference when i was in the 9th grade. He is from Weldon NC not to far from were i stay i at now. Real kool guy the word from him when he came back home not to long ago was his prepartion he told a couple of his friends he hasnt been healthy in a long time.

He is an undersized DT and doesn't fit the bill of the run-stopping DT that the team needs.

You can bring him in if you want, but don't think that he is anything other than a bandaid or rotational type player.

Balmer started 11 games for Seattle last year and had 43 tackles last year. That hardly seems like a bust to me. As for being lazy, that is the same rap everyone gave Corvey Irvin in the past.

look. I understand he was miscast in a 3-4, i also understand he has/had a good amount of talent. The things I remember from him..

He was overrated coming out, he was part of a VERY weak class of tackles, he had a knock for being lazy and was drafted based on potential more than production.

I haven't gone back to confirm any of that, that's just what I remember. If the coaches want to bring him in great... I just don't see a substantial upgrade from what we have. Also, not hating on the guy but irvin hasn't done shiat except have articles written on him about how "this year is different." ok. we'll see.

Bring in J. Williams and Tank. Cut Irvin and Hayden. Fua and McClain backups until they are ready to step in. Did Tony Brown get picked up? Havent really followed.

If we continue to get gashed tonight, then I say bring in every fat guy we can find. If we actually hold our own though, then just wait until cuts to see if there is someone that is a clear upgrade over what we currently have (which Balmer is not).
