Rumor: Carolina want's Eagles corner

For those who only watch Panther games and have never heard of him, here is a little bit of info on Joselio from about a week or two ago. He is a highly talented nickleback and would be a good move for the Panthers, especially if he will only cost a 5th or 6th to get. From what I hear Asante is still on the market also, but he would cost two 2nd rounders <rumor>.

Despite the fact that the Eagles have added two Pro Bowl cornerbacks to their defensive backfield, the best nickel back they have is Joselio Hanson.

this is exactly what we need. someone who is solid at covering the slot. i've got no problem at all with the captain covering guys on the edge. i think he does well there. covering guys inside...i just don't think he has the size or strength needed. if hanson is solid at the job and is used to the scheme then its a no brainer...esp. if he isn't going to cost us any early picks or ouch in the way of cap space.

I really just don't see the advantage in bringing in another Nickel.

some people refer to the nickle guy as the guy that covers the slot. others refer to him as the 3rd CB or 5th DB...regardless of where he lines up.

we don't have anyone who can cover the slot receiver all that well. that's what we are shooting for here.

You don't know what the price is for this guy do you? Or have the Eagles already said what they want for him? It's the fuging eagles dude. they will want a fuging 2nd for this guy... The price will more than likely be too high.

I have a source who has a source who has a brother who says that the Panthers also want Asomougha, Brady, Hicks, and about a half of a dozen more pro-bowlers and are willing to give up at least a 6th rd'er for all of them.

But if they don't get them, I only said they want them so I am exonerated from all liability in case they don't get them and can cover up my BS that way.

it won't be anything earlier than a 5th.

he's 4th or 5th on their depth chart and he's costing them $2.6mil. everyone knows they can't really afford to keep him around and it's really only a matter of time before they release him.

i'm not worried about the price. and if he can cover the slot well...i wouldn't mind giving up a little earlier pick than a 5th.

I'm referring to an actual nickel, and i think Captain has done an excellent job in that role.

depends on what you mean by "actual" nickel.

as a guy covering the x or z receiver...yeah, he's done well. covering the y is where i have the problem.

when munnerlynn came in as the 3rd CB, marshall moved in to cover the slot receiver. munnerlyn was the nickel in that he was the 5th DB out there, but he didn't cover what nickels are known for.
