Panthers Plan to Contact Eagles

I was told today that the Panthers plan to ask the Eagles about Asante Samuel again. They are getting desperate at CB and will check in to see if they lowered their price. Munnerlyn might not even be the starter with the CBs we already have on the roster that is how underwhelming he has been.

If I am Carolina I would really think about giving up a 2nd for him, but would not touch my 1st round pick.

He probably saw Gamble's contact and realize how much we throw at crappy cornerbacks. Sheesh, a good back like Asante Samuel will hit the jackpot here!!! :D

after tonite i would almost say go after asante no matter what. I know we should save picks but all this team does is fug up the draft picks anyways. The players we have taken in rounds 2 and 3 in the last five years never do poo. and also yeah we need a dt almost more than a cb but damn we need someone who will stop the BENGALS offense to allow some sacks. And also yeah asante is 30... how old is asomugha...30 how old is champ bailey and charles woodson and they are still better than capt, and any other cb on this team combined. I say do it bc if the bengals and that red headed freak can do that to our cbs then its gonna be a long year.

UPDATE: Eagles still asking for a first or 2 seconds for Samuel and want a fifth for Joselio Hanson. The Panthers did get in contact with the Eagles about both corners and have balked. Still waiting for cuts and hoping Eagles become more realistic with asking price.
