Shanahan or not, Joe Flacco is a) not overrated and b) a better quarterback, by leaps and bounds, than Donovan McNabb is in this stage of his career.

Personally always thought D McNabb was overrated even during his peak. A step above good but a few below great, if that makes any sense. But on this topic he definitely dropped off from whatever pedestal you want to put him on after showing no heart in the Super Bowl. His career never overcame it. IMO.

throwing with no heart? He's a choke artist, plain and simple. TO had to call the plays on the final drive in the SB b/c McScabb couldnt get his head together. He doesnt have the clutch gene at all

IMO the concept of not trading an impact player within the division is spurious. The fact is they only play the trading team twice, while playing the other teams in the division 4 times. The more impact the player, the higher the chance that they will contribute to more losses for division foes and thus be beneficial to the original trading team.

It also creates more competition with the team you traded the guy too.

Asante Samuel would be worth 2 seconds if he was 26 years old... He's not. He's 30. For a CB that's on the wrong end of your career. If they take just a 2nd, I'd say ok, but that's even a little steep for him. But 2 seconds, fug that. He's not worth it.

Ride this out, draft a blue chip CB next year. Problem solved.

I'd be okay with this, as long as we got Kirkpatrick or Gilmore.....the rest of the CBs coming out are 5'9-10. About tired of that.

I kinda feel JR thinks their down year was last year, and would really like to get a winning team going now instead of slowly coming along..I would not be surprised if we traded for him after final cutdowns if no #2 is available(which we would have to get really lucky for there one to come available).

The Eagles are likely thinking that our 2nd round pick has a good chance of being in the 33-40 area. Maybe it could be enough to sway them considering they have to be over the cap...

IMO there's no way they can afford to keep all of the players they acquired this offseason. Someone is getting cut or traded before all is said and done. Samuel has never been my favorite high profile CB...and he probably only has 2-3 good years left with his style of play but I'm desperate for some good DBs on this team or its going to be miserable to watch this year.
