Jerry Richardson to Cam: No Tattoos, No Piercings

I'm sorry but this the 2nd day back to back post that was creepy to me

Old Jerry, young Cam in a meeting, and....

Richardson, who said that Newton “was dressed perfectly” for their meeting, was blunt. “I said, ‘Do you have any tattoos?’” Richardson told Rose. “He said, ‘No, sir. I don’t have any.’ I said, ‘Do you have any piercings?’ He said, ‘No, sir. I don’t have any.’ I said, ‘We want to keep it that way.’ . . . .

“We want to keep no tattoos, no piercings, and I think you’ve got a very nice haircut.”

Re-reading the quote from the OP sounds to me like a suggestion during an interview, not a command. Simply the boss man stating his preference.

A whole lot about nothing.

This.

Anyone remember the post-draft writeup (and good one at that) Sorensen did when he went to Jerry's house and they talked about Cam, the clock, and JR's meeting with Cam? I remember from that article Jerry saying that he told Jeremy Shockey he doesn't want a team full of choir boys but that he could do without the tattoos.

This isn't just for Cam. Steve Smith and Jerry Richardson are known to have a very close relationship and Steve has ink everywhere. Doesn't mean Richardson thinks any less of him, just that he doesn't prefer or encourage it.

Damn bro, white people have nasty tatts as well.

stereotype much?

*adding "or rob a meth lab in the trailer parks" at the end of your statement would have made your statement acceptable by todays standards*

White people live in the projects, too.

You should follow your own advice.

mountain out of a molehill.

JR's not saying that people are bad people if they look different. he's just old school and prefers that people not do that stuff to themselves..esp. when he is paying them tons of money and they are going to be the face of his company. that doesn't make him a bad person. you don't like it, you go out and make billions and buy a football team and let them do whatever they want.

he's not passing judgment on anyone. it's a shame that so many "open minded" people will be so quick to close their minds and pass judgment on someone who has a different perspective. hypocrisy at it finest.
