played both, and HL2 on the PC not the xbox for the record and I thought Halo 3 was overall a better game.

while your a PC elitist biased because you built your own computer and have to justify the financial investment that you made, I personally don' give a poo what game is on what because I just play whatever I want regardless of what it is on.
