Rewind back to April

Some of you MUST have reasons to dislike Cam other than his skills.

I hate to even open that can or worms but there it is.

He has done EVERYTHING one could ask a #1 QB pick to do.

Yet still you guys bash him like he is lazy and incapable of becoming a star.

So its either ulterior motives or you are so fuging football stupid you need to hear the announcers to know if O or D has the ball

John Fox's mentality of playing not to lose has infected NCBobcat so bad it hurts me to read his posts.

"cam could be flacco or ryan, but if he isn't he will be bad. Thus we should draft a middle talent DT who at worst will be average. So instead of being great we can at last be average"

Wow

with the rookie wage scale.......Cam makes even more sense than he did at the time. Every QB in the draft would have moved up draft boards w/ the wage scale known.

Oh you stop making sense and using logic. That poo doesn't fly around here.

With 2 preseason games under his belt, we now know Newton is a bust. We should have never drafted him... he's the worst QB ever... EVER!!

lol, what an ass-pull.

What?

Almost every article around is claiming that the QB battle here is at best; deadlocked.

Again, you're about as ignorant a fan as they come.

He's our #1 pick, not some 2nd round trade-up like Armanti. Of course he's going to be given the benefit of the doubt a majority of the time.

What the hell?

"Again, you're about as ignorant a fan as they come." Coming from someone citing news articles for their info.

Are you 12 years-old little man behind the keyboard? Apparently he was supposed to come in and make Jimmy look like a second-rate CFL QB and those who are objectively looking at the QB battle will give Jimmy the better marks. Now, the whole "little time" and "rookie" excuses are starting to surface. I hope Cam does well Thursday, but if he doesn't, I wonder how many excuse threads pop up?

-----------

I think ur confusing Jimmy of 2010 with Cam of 2011.

Actually many are saying they are quite surprised at how quickly Cam has come along, which I guess is based on the preception that he wouldn't be able to because he was "intelligent" enough to grasp the team play-book. Reality is, Jimmy should be light years ahead of Cam becaus of his college background and his supposed intelligence. jimmy is only seen as slightly more accurate than Cam.

jimmy was supposed to be doing that all by himself, and to his credit, he hasn't. he still doesn't look good, but he doesn't look as bad as he did.

meh....who gets called objective is usually a very subjective opinion. most who have followed them at training camp will say that there is very little difference between them, but that the offense looks very different with newton in. we'll be seeing more of that as the playbook opens up and the season goes along.

who didn't think it was going to take a little time for him to get up to NFL speed? who said he wasn't going to look like a rookie and struggle? people keep on saying that those opinions were flying around, but it's never backed up except to say that maybe there was one unrealistic poster saying things like that.

A team with no fuging hope of a franchise QB on their roster (pickles  could be solid but not a upper tier) takes one of the most athletic/dynamic/star players to enter the draft in years with their first over all pick.

A pick mind you that will cost significantly less than past picks.

Yet the fan base is upset because there is a risk.

3rd and 9 on our 40? time for a draw play!
