Sorry I missed my post where I said Morgan was better than Beason. Could you please refresh my screen?

Your defending all the praise Morgan got which included being called a great mlber when healthy. But the number show a guy that had decent but nothing special numbers even when healthy. I was comparing his stats to another mlber considered great. I could have gone with Zach Thomas, Demarco Ryan, Jonathan Vilma, Takeo Spikes, Kirk Morrison, London Fletcher and others who have better per game numbers than Morgan. How can you call a guy great when in no way does he even compare to other great Lbers?

The number one answer is************Drum Roll*************

Sean Gilbert..Over rated and very over paid

The number one WRONG answer is Steve Beuerlin. Steve played with no running back and no offensive line and did one hell of a good job under Seifert as the head coach.

IMO

It probably won't be long until somebody brings up something like "25 tackles in a Super Bowl"

Problem is, that's just an old wife's tale ... it didn't happen.

For those that think it did, do 1 to 3 things. 1) Go to NFL.com or even 2) panthers.com itself, and look at the gamecenter stats. Go over each play and see what you get. Or better yet 3) watch a replay of the game a count yourself.

I had the real total around here somewhere, but not going to look for it. I believe he had something like 11 tackles and a handful of assist, or something close to that.

The biggest problem with that game though was Brady, Branch, and Brown picking our ass apart across the middle. Morgan had to make tackles after allowing so many catches. Remember Brady had twice as many completions in that game as Jake, most of them across the middle.

Morgan, no doubt OVER-RATED !!

Oh and......7 sacks IN HIS CAREER. LOL !

How many was it LB D. Thomas had in ONE (1) game? I believe it was 6 wasn't it?

This is correct.

keyshawn/foster/lucas ....I can't decide. I think all time we would have to take lucas out because he had some good years. Foster did reasonably well for us despite his fumblitis and "turf toe". I would have to say keyshawn...he was brought here to take a man off of smith and never even made an impact. He wasn't a great #2 receiver much less a #1 for dallas. Carr did here what he always did in the nfl and dan played well when he played at all...yea def KJ

The most overrated Panther in history is Moose. Sorry, I love the guy and wish he stayed here but the money the Bears dropped on him was stupid. The Panthers were smart to not try and match or beat that contract. He was being tauted in the 2005 offseason as one of the best recievers in the game when in reality he was an average reciever with a lot of drops that had great blocking skills and had proved to not be a major injury risk.

The most overrated Panther in history is Moose.

absurdly far from anything resembling the truth.

Sorry, I love the guy and wish he stayed here but the money the Bears dropped on him was stupid.

he got paid based on past production. the year before he was signed he had what was essentially one of the ten best years EVER for a wide receiver.

The Panthers were smart to not try and match or beat that contract.

were we smart for giving essentially the same contract to keyshawn johnson?

He was being tauted in the 2005 offseason as one of the best recievers in the game

after 2005 he was

when in reality he was an average reciever with a lot of drops that had great blocking skills and had proved to not be a major injury risk.

boy i wish i was average enough to get 1400 yards and 16 TDs

but I guess he was just a product of that incredible 2005 panthers offense, the one that featured keary colbert and nick goings, huh?
