I don't think he was ignoring facts. I think he made a couple errors, which is understandable as I did the same in one of my post.

I just like giving him a hard time, I actually think he is a good poster...he is just fun to mess with...I'm sure he didn't mean anything other than to prove his point...as we all do on the internetz

What? I think he was saying NFL.com was wrong...I could argue ESPN was wrong...I didn't read it as you are I are wrong...I read it as hey guys there are differences between the sites...obviously ONE of them is wrong

ESPN is correct. At least the NY game is.

also, I wanted to make sure we are talking the same thing.

1st downs lead by the QB. Not 1st down throws. That would be the only means for different numbers I would think

So if NFL.com is correct Carolina only gained 1 more 1st down while Cam played.....

which isn't true. Just look at his 4th drive which Cam had 18 and 36 yard passes for 2 more 1st downs. those 2 drives alone put him over the 5.

Our debate aside, I think ESPN does the best job out there when you want to reference NFL stats.

I'm fine with that, honestly I hope the kid does well...I personally dont' think he has played as well as Jimmy has so far but that is neither here nor there now. For all intent and purposes, He is the starter and he has my support. But I am watching him with a critical eye because I think he has a lot of work to do...a lot more than most other people see apparently but hey, to each their own.

well, I think most think he has a lot of work to do.....some just don't see the point of being overally critical two preseason games in and when the team missed most of the work normally put in prior to preseason games.

He looks more NFL ready than the most pro ready QB of the last draft....and w/ less prep prior to the preseason w/ his team. I don't recall many being overally critical of Clausen until a few games into the regular season.

I mean I am on the Cam bandwagon....but he has tons to work on and has to do it quick. This years class was put in a hole like few others classes have seen. Impressed thus far all that considered.

This is the part I don't agree with but thats ok...if you are right it works out better for everyone, so I hope you are.

Majority argue that Cam looks better than Clausen this year.

I haven't heard anyone argue that Clausen as a rookie this time of the year looked ahead of Cam.....but I guess you make the first.

Well...I am done. If you still think Clausen was a better QB last season than Matt Moore.....well, we will never see eye to eye. Everyone involved said it was never even close.....Moore was hands down better going in. As bad as Moore was, he was still clearly a better QB. EVERY SINGLE WR on the team performed the worst when Clausen was on the field.....come on guy.....

i thought it was pretty close until Moore came back from being benched. After that it wasn't even close. I think that the hits Moore took in the opener really messed him up against TB. At the time, I didn't see it... but looking back it explains a lot.

      It depends on how GMs above us in the draft feel about his arm length. Some GMs will die on that hill.
