Yeah, people tend to make a bigger deal than is necessary... I guess you can't fault them if they've never been thru one. I mean, be careful... don't go outside during the storm, stuff like that, but overall, this one should be no problem for us here. Unless you decide to like go surfing or something... or take a walk on the jetti.

do you watch the morning news? they reported today that 8 people on a pier somewhere got pounded by rougue wave. all were injured, and one had to be air lifted.

Yeah I saw that... idiots.

I also saw the guy standing in the knee high surf at Nags Head talking about how "powerful" it was... :rolleyes:

Less worried today.

If it passes by ILM the way that weather underground says it should we should be fine. Maybe some stick pines down and some power outages, but nothing major.

Hopefully it comes in at low tide and there is not much of a surge.
