Trade Clausen to the Colts

Because Cam Newton is pretty clearly going to start for the Panthers this year. Keeping Clausen around might end up being a detriment if Newton struggles early and has to look over his shoulder. Newton was picked #1 overall and will be given every chance to win the job. Clausen SHOULD start, but he won't, so why not trade him if we can get something for him. Colts are a team in need of a QB right now, and getting one that can start AND potentially succeed Peyton Manning is a pretty good deal.

What universe do you live in?

Cam's a pro now. Trading Pickles away for the reasons you mentioned is like trying to put kid gloves on Cam. And doing that is a sign that that won't be the only time you need to break out the kid gloves.

Yes. Because Eric Mangini, Rich Kotite and Mike Singletary for example were such shining examples of how to create a successful NFL franchise.

The fans aren't always right. Neither are the 'experts'.

those were coaches, dufuss

You would get a 4th rounder at the very best.

To say "at least a 2nd rounder" is not laughable,

It is borderline psychotic.

Clausen has in no way lived up to his draft position,

Let alone his exorbitant draft billing.

Why would any GM give up anything of value for a QB who posted a 58.4 QB rating last year?

Assuring yourselves otherwise may convince a few rookies here,

But unobjectiveness won't fly with elite posters such as my self.

Just tell the truth.

Tell the truth.
