Why not? It's not like were building on winning seasons. Rivera pretty much is safe no matter what happens this year.

I think once Cam starts, he's in there unless he gets hurt. If Clausen doesn't have the opportunity to look bad, it might keep him here another year. He's still young and cheap, there's no reason not to keep him next year and maybe for the duration of his contract as a project guy to see if Chud and Shula can develop him as an NFL QB prospect.

I think your ideal backup would fit your scheme better than Clausen does....

Clausen still has time to earn his spot as a long term Panther. But unless the way he plays the game changes......I think they move on from him. Really, that is what would be best for both Carolina and Clausen. Clausen really needs to be in a offense that fits his skill set.

yep, even if Cam is the week 1 starter....due to his style of play (and I don't think we have legitimatly seen it yet)....he likely will get banged up and miss the occassional game. If Cam is 4 yards shy and takes off running....he won't slide and come up short.....he will go for the 1st w/ all his got. Just the way he plays.
