Who is freaking out man I love Dwill this is why we pay this guy.

I'm not freaked out, although isn't it a bit hard to get freaked out when we are all expecting 5 or 6 wins. Or we are all just secretly ubber homerage and think we WILL make the playoffs this year but don't want to sound like an unrealistic fool.

You doom and gloom bastards make it almost hard to read most of the threads around here these days. I swear. If we're not dominating, people think we're so terrible. The saddest part? Those people call themselves Panther fans.

I can't speak for all of you, but I have been 100% behind this team since 1995. A lot of people here probably don't even know what Ericsson Stadium was. A lot of people here probably don't know what a tough season is because they weren't here in 2001 when we were a few plays away from 9 wins, only to win only 1. Then you have the audacity to sign up for this forum and bitch and complain about fuging preseason? About the fact that we're not dominating in the PRESEASON? GTFO with that.

This is Carolina Panthers football. Either you are a fan who supports this team no matter what, or you are fan like some of those posting around here; bitch and complain about every little fuging nuance of preseason football and complain about "execution" in a preseason game, with a new system, under a new coach, with some new talent on both sides of the ball.

It baffles me how people don't see the difference between the playcalling in game 1 and 2. We ran a bunch of rollouts and trick plays in game 1, then straight up vanilla schemes in game 2. This isn't because the coaches forgot how to be creative, it was an intentional evaluation.

They also need to realize that Sparano was trying to prove some strange point and ran down the clock and kept going for it on 4th and long. They weren't evaluating their players with vanilla schemes like us, they were trying to win. And considering that, they didn't score nearly as many points as they should have.

Criticism is one thing. Yeah, I have critiqued the OL and DL. I have critiqued simple mechanical things with Jimmy and Cam. But some of you act like if we don't go out and play perfect in the preseason then it isn't good enough. It is the fuging preseason. There is no need for the "we're screwed" statements. Our corners looked exposed because of a lack of a pass rush because we weren't blitzing. Are they really good? Not really. But when Gamble is back, we'll be fine (I'm hoping anyway). We don't have a good enough DL to get pressure with 4. Critiquing the team is one thing. Saying our guys can't execute a system that they have only been learning for a few weeks is just retarded.

As rodeo said, if you think we're not intentionally doing things that focus more on evaluation rather than winning right now, you're an idiot.
