I can't believe some of you are using 3rd down conversions from that crappy game as reasons to why Clausen should start. DLo had 3 rushes for 6 yards. It was obvious that they wanted to evaluate Cam more so than Jimmy. Oh and for a rookie Cam protects the ball really well. I still think the starter will be Cam, but if it's Clausen I'm cool with that too. I hope they announce the starter today as planned.

I don't think anyone here would discredit video footage of a QB for the Panthers that is making plays just because of their race, and to bring it up tells us all more about you than it does any of 'us'.

Newton played against starters for a half. Jimmy played backups. After watching both videos Newton still to me needs to be the one starting game 1.

In the MIA game I'd have to say it was the defense that was the biggest let down

Through two games Clausen has had a better points tally and 3rd down completion rate. He's made a better percentage of throws and has a better ypa.

Clausen has turned it over once compared to Cam's zero, which is pretty much the only thing Cam is 'winning' on. Sorry he has more rushing yards...:rolleyes:

Jimmy has showed no seperation from Cam so far, and thats after improving.

He also hasn't run around with a massive grin on his face and looked determined.

He has completed more passes for a better ypa, has taken shots downfield and moved the chains more consistently.

Cam has had about 5-6 genuine highlights, then rest is full of inconsistencies. Talent, sure. I want him to be polished before he is put into live action because it will give more time for his natural tendencies to be over-written by genuine technique.

The NFL are assholes about these things and they will have them deleted. Get enough deleted and youtube will IP ban you.

first off, thanks for the videos. awesome work!

i just wanted to add a few points:

$ both QBs showed improvement from preseason game 1

$ the phins played much better D than NY

$ our WRs need to learn to turn into run blockers on pass plays when cam scrambles(see cams first run of game)

$ check down passes to bush ate us alive as did marshalls size

Jimmy has not looked more poised than Cam at all. when you watch the game you can tell, and when pressure is on he reverts back to last year Jimmy. neither QB has wowed anybody and took over the job.
