Yes Moore got hurt but Jimmy come in before the injury...then it was Moore again, then Clausen again then Moore again then Clausen

False. Moore started weeks 1 and 2 then got benched because he was bad. Then started again weeks 7-9 then got injured.

no...

moore started the first two games. Clausen took over in the 4th quarter and had a nice drive, so he started the next 3 games. Jimmy was awful against Chicago, Moore came in, wasn't very good. Fox declared an open competition. Moore won, started against SF, won, lost to STL, then got injured against NO and was out for the rest of the year.

Moore was also concussed after that giants game and kind of came back too soon..

He was cleared by doctors but I agree

My point was, NO QB WOULD HAVE FAIRED WELL ON LAST YEARS TEAM! Geeze you guys hinge on every little thing.

Moore looked good the year before with a decent team. He has looked OK in two preseason games with Miami...why did he look so bad last year? Same reason as Clausen maybe?

tbh I thought Moore showed much much much more than Clausen... but that's besides the point, he wasn't a rookie. I agree Clausen isn't completely responsible for last year and I also agree he deserves a second chance - which he is getting right now...

and I personally think he's improved greatly from last year.

you will never convince me and i'll never convince you lol

i just don't like Clausen at a talent/physical ability level. when i watch him play it just seems off. You might see the same thing with Cam so we are just going to have to leave it at that.

Right now, Id give the job to Clausen. He's making better decisions and is moving the chains. However, I would have more confidence in my answer if Jimmy could trust his arm and go for 15-25 yard throws more often.

Another thing, Clausen needs to bulk up. He's listed at 222, but he looks like he's 180-190 tops. He really needs to build up his upper body.

Clausen needs a system more tailored to his abilities, which lie in the short game. He just does not have the arm strength to succeed in an offense that attempts to stretch the field.

I hope the coaching staff realizes that.

Cam needs to sit for a year. He could be a phenomenal quarterback, with the right amount of work. I think he's got it in him, but damn don't throw the kid to the wolves and destroy him.

fug the wolves cam is a panther! lol i could be wrong but to me cam seems like a guy who has a strong enough will not to let the lows get him down and is much more willing to learn from his mistakes. those mistakes might show up more in live games but also those same mistakes might not show up at all in practice so they would be harder to notice and correct.

it also just seems obvious to me that the panthers as an organization wants to get him in there as long as he didn't mess up horribly in the preseason and jimmy wasn't pulling a drew brees..neither of those happened, and although what happened was sort of "meh" it's also above what they were expecting Cam to be and it seems even at their expectations they wanted to start him. whether that is fair or not, probably not. just seems like that's the road we are headed down.

I love how people assume Cam can't learn on the fly. If by starting now he's destroyed, he was never meant to be. Too much Fox logic. Hoping Clausen will get better is fools gold. He just ain't got it. Quit letting the fear of Cam failing delude you. Honestly, if Cam couldnt go DA would be a better choice.

taking 50 sacks from nfl caliber talent in one year is pretty much enough to turn almost anyone into jelly physically and mentally

unless you're just a masochist, then you want to get sacked

do we want this kid to be long term, or do we just want to burn his athleticism out in 5 years?

he's got some serious issues to work on if he wants to be in the league 10 years from now

that goes the same for clausen

fug u i'll edit as much as i want

becoming a starting QB in the nfl is more difficult and less likely to be achieved than becoming a surgeon if the same amount of work is put into either goal

who the fug wants a surgeon learning on the fly?

let the kid go to school in the NFL before he gets his patellas busted
