Winners & Losers: Dolphins Game Edition

both QBs didn't look good, in my opinion they looked about the same. Cam tried to throw the ball downfield, and jimmy had his patented checkdowns.

neither looked stellar, neither looked like they deserved the starting job.

I'm on the start Anderson bandwagon right about now.

All the smack talk aside, you are right on the money. Anderson is the best QB on your team. He will not start however. There is to much pressure on Cam as the #1 pick to start. The Panther fans would go ballistic if Anderson started.

Now on Cam.

Is he great athletically? Yes. Does he have speed? Yes. Does he have a very good arm? Yes. But here is the major problem with Cam. He is not ready for the NFL. The Guy threw a total of 280 collegiate passes..........280 thats it. If you watched him at Auburn he was one read and then run. He has never had to go through a progression route tree. Cam needs to sit a year behind a Vet QB and learn the the NFL game. Anderson would be ideal for that. Throwing him to the NFL wolves is what is going to happen. And that might just set him back years

Clearly you have very low football intelligence as evident from your posts. A play where the defender is in the face of a QB and the QB throws an incompletion means it's all the QB's fault. Or a throw where the QB throws it away to avoid a sack is all the QBs fault. Or a throw that bounces off a WRs hands is the QBs fault. Or a throw where a defender makes a good play on the throw, despite it being on target, is all the QBs fault. Thanks for admitting you are completely incompetent to form a rational opinion on the topic of QBs.

I have forgotten more about football than you will EVER know.

A starting QB in the NFL MUST be able to make plays with a defender in his face....it is not practice.

You, however, are so infatuated with Cam that you continue to make excuses for his below average play.

He is inconsistent...he throws off his back foot...he is having trouble making the pre-snap blitz reads. In summary....he is a ROOKIE QB who is not ready to start yet.

He has tons of potential...a great work ethic...and he will get better. Quite frankly, I think he will end up being VERY good in the NFL. I am just unbiased enough to not make continuously stupid excuses for EVERY bad play he has.

He is NOT ready to be a starter in the NFL.

The question is whether Rivera believes it would be better to take our lumps and let Cam grow and develop as the starter, or whether he thinks it would be better to let Cam learn and develop before throwing him out there.

I have no idea which direction Rivera will go. However, I will support and cheer for which ever QB Rivera decides to hand the keys over to.....which is something that your lack of intelligence will not allow you to do.

lol you mad I called out your football intelligence?

Yea a oline that allows defenders to go right by them and only calling 2-3 run plays shouldn't be considered if a QB doesn't play as well as you would like

"A starting QB in the NFL MUST be able to make plays with a defender in his face", give me a break. A starting QB must make plays when they feel the pressure coming towards them, but in Cam's case it was already there so please spare me the old cliche bullsh**.

Sorry that a rookie with about a month of practice hasn't performed like the all-pro you want him to be, but it's not his fault if he doesn't live up to your unreasonable expectations.

Mad? Not likely. I don't get mad when idiots question my knowledge. It just proves how much of an idiot you are.

Secondly, please remove Cam's dick from your mouth before you speak. We still can't understand your garbled mumblings.

I don't expect Cam to play like an all-pro at this stage of his career. As I have said, he is playing exactly like a rookie who needs to develop. Hell, he is playing better than I thought he would at this stage...and that is a testament to his work ethic and attitude. You ignore the part where I say I think he will be VERY GOOD. He is just not there yet...and with that I think he is not ready to start.

I don't make excuses for poor play. I evaluate a players contribution and skill by what they actually accomplish on the field.....something that you are completely incapable of doing.

It is likely that Cam will be very good. They operative words there are "will be". He is not there yet. So, stop blaming his weaknesses and bad plays on everyone but him.

lol I've clearly owned you as your only retort to reasonable observations is throwing inaccurate insults.

If I was doing what you said, I would've said Cam completely outperformed Clausen and should be named the starter. Instead, I've gone on record of saying they played evenly and Rivera should wait 1 more preseason game before making his decision.

Yea me pointing out bad oline play, just like any other poster here has seen, means I'm incapable of properly evaluating a QBs play on the field and "blaming his weaknesses on everyone but him". It's not falsely blaming when it's actually true.

I cannot see how anyone that saw this game can honestly say he played as poorly as you are saying, but keep going Mad Hatter. You are hilarious.

killerkat, he can't wait another game because game 3 of the preseason is as close as it gets to a regular season game, so he needs a starter in by then I guess.

I think the reason some are bristling at all the "receivers sucked, oline sucked" stuff is that while it may be true, we had an entire season of that rationale for sub-par QB play from a rookie.

Thing is, we may not have a choice.

Lets face it, Cam is no where NEAR as good as some on here tried to make out but he isn't terrible either. Just like Jimmy last year, as I have said before, anyone who thinks last year was Jimmy's fault is just dilusional. Realistically, both QB are basically playing in their rookie year with a lot of young players around them. As much as we like to think we have a lot of talent on this team; that just may not be the case. Maybe that is why people laugh at us for signing our old players back for such large contracts.

Just my opinion
