Words of caution

Are we suddenly going to have gained a full set of camps by the time the regular season starts?

We'll have more of our own stuff installed, sure, but we've got holes. That's plain to see.

That being said, I'm not going to freak out about the loss. I am worried about our holes at DT, CB, and WR, but we'll see what rivera does when he can game plan around that.

I mostly agree, but then we knew we would have holes before the season started. Fwiw, I think we will eventually be alright at receiver. We have some prospects, although losing Gettis hurt. If Steve Smith is able to perform at near his old self, and with the play of the tight ends, we should be ok until one of the younger guys steps up.

The secondary and especially DT is a big area of concern though.

Gettis was going to be the guy to step up I felt. Without him, I'm not so sure. And we also lost Edwards to an injury. I felt we were OK at DT and WR during camp until those injuries. Now? Not so much. But who knows, you could be right about WR, especially as the offense develops. I don't see an easy solution to DT, but Rivera is a defensive guru so you never know what he'll come up with :)

I agree and until I see Otah healthy the right side of the line is a concern as well.If I could make one suggestion to hurney it would be quit counting on Otah to be there. The rest is pretty obvious. We have the most expensive/best backfield in the NFL but they are only as good as the blockers.

Why do we never caution one another when we win preseason games?

My only expectation was that the team play better than last week...that didn't happen. Panthers didn't game plan and the Dolphins did? IDK.

But it almost seemed like a reminder game of what they were like under Fox, like we need a reminder.
