2010 QB Controversy in Carolina?

Recommended Posts

I think sometimes people on here take things the wrong way though.

I never really insult people at least on purpose, but sometimes it does look that way even if it was unintended.

Some people are just better with words, but I know what you mean, I don't really like the whole jumping straight to insults and antagonizing people on purpose.

But as it pertains to athletes, that's normal man, should just get used to it. Fans always bash players in every sport. It's not going away anytime soon, and most if it isn't even intended or meant to be right in his face like you want to fight him.

Its part of the game.

As for his answering questions about it and blowing off the effect of the surgery publicly, he has never one time made an excuse for anything bad he has done on the field. Remember, he never blamed anything on having a screwed up arm for 2 years and we now know it was screwed up since 2005.

Does that sound like a quality of a person that helps a team or hurts it?

If you are trying to say that the guy could be lying about his arm as he has lied (or withheld truth) in the past, then it not a good sell for him at all.

Hurt or not. Surgery or not. he being a nice guy or not. He is not a good QB and a change or at least something leading to that needs to take place.

Well we obviously have completely different views on that. I view not making excuses for things as a good quality, you view it as lying and hurting his team. I still don't see how that surgery can't be taken into account by people as a factor though. It's a factor with pitchers.

If you are hurt and you are a ST player or LB or any other position trying you can suck it up and keep it to yourself. But if you are the starting QB you need to be a little more upfront with any throwing arm issues.

there is no room for discussion on that.

Admitting an injury (if there truly is one) is not the same thing as making an excuse. After all you're not making an excuse if you admit the injury in advance and rehab for a week or more.

He has never said he has an issue with the elbow after repeated inquiries. I have to take that as its Ok, not he's sucking it up.

If he's hurt..he's out of the game

If he's lying...he's hurting the team

If he's making excuses..he's a damn baby

No scenario plays out to his advantage here unless

he's complaining of injuries post game.. but he gets better by next week

and that has not happened yet.

I'll see Jake tonite at the Eddie Block Banquet. I'll pass along some of your thoughts to him

I told him what some of ya'll said. He mumbled something that sounded like "tellum kiss 'ole ass". You know he's kinda hard to understand. :eek6:
