2010 QB Controversy in Carolina?

Recommended Posts

what qb would u want to bring him to replace him? there isnt any FAs that are any better. there isnt in QBs in the draft that wil do better. and were not gonna trade for any QBs. jake is our guy. yes he had a horrible playoff game. and im sure hell be the first to admit that. but at the end of the day he wins games. and thats all that matters to me. i rather walk away from a game with a win than have a pro bowl QB and a losing team.

People are stupid and would rather see Pat White at QB I agree that Delhomme is not necessarily the greatest qb in the world but there is NOTHING better than him to offer right now, including Moore and including Mcown. We were all so happy when Moore came in just for the simple fact that he could get Steve Smith the football, thats how desperate we were. Delhomme threads are worse than peppers threads becuase they happen every single year and most non fair weather fans know nothings gonna change until the right oppurtunity comes.

Last season was inconsistent because of the surgery, It was even explained on some of the sports shows. They said for about a year you would be up and down on strength and your ability to make throws. Lets see how he does this season before we jump the gun on him, he's already signed and he's our best option to win this season. So how about we give him that chance to win the fans back and get us back to the SB.

Yea by stewart and williams not even being an asset in the cardinal game (playcalling as well) they pretty much did throw delhomme out there with know where to throw it. If you find a better option for this season let me here it. Because so far ive heard pat white whos a god damn joke, derek anderson who is no better than delhomme and had winslow and braylon to throw to, cassel whos gone.

Don't be ridiculous. Stewart and Williams didn't have a chance to be a factor in the Cardinals game precisely because of Delhomme's turnovers. Well, that and the piss poor play of the defense. The point is, they cannot be blamed at all. They tried to be a factor when they came out and ran all over the Cardinals on the first drive. It's just that all momentum got killed after that.

I've always liked Delhomme and I still do. However, I fear he's on the decline and is only going to keep getting worse. I hope I'm wrong though. I would gladly eat crow on this one.

I hope that's the case. Who knows, if that was really the problem, maybe he'll be better than ever next season.

That makes a lot of sense. Credit all of our wins to everyone EXCEPT Delhomme, but blame all of our losses on him?

the apologists have been doing this his entire career placing blame on the lack of a running game, the lack of an oline and the lack of a good OC

I guess THAT is ok with you?

He won us game number one in SD IMO. He played great. He always starts off well. He just fades, ,makes dumb plays, and cripples us down the stretch.

And anyone who says Steve Smith has not carried his ass is delusional in my book. Two miraculous catches of two poorly thrown-sorry, heaved balls at the end of GB game are proof and only a fraction of what Steve has done over the years.

I'm pretty sure that very few of those smacktalkers would have the nuts to say those things word for word to his face. :D

wtf does that matter?

sure I would not want his feeling to be hurt but we really cannot rest our hope on his feelings.

Just because some fan does not want to break the news to the guy does not mean the news should not be broken.

that is just dumb.

Listen to just how STUPID you sound.

Jake Dellhomme HIMSELF has answered the question about his condition countless times in preseason and countless times POST HORRIFIC games of his and has never wavered in his response.

yet you are gonna make this excuse for him

geez

"back to the Super Bowl"

LOL

jake is never going back to the superbowl as a starting QB in the NFL.

That wasn't my point, actually. I agree completely that when it comes to a guy's performance the HC or whoever can't think about a guy's feelings as far as hurting him if he gets cut. I am sure all guys are upset when they are cut, it's human nature. I was talking about hurling insults to a guy's face one on one (not from the stands).

As for his answering questions about it and blowing off the effect of the surgery publicly, he has never one time made an excuse for anything bad he has done on the field. Remember, he never blamed anything on having a screwed up arm for 2 years and we now know it was screwed up since 2005.

Since when are football players(especially QB's) good fighters, or are so intimidating that someone wouldn't say something to them that they would say to someone else.

Coming from my former line of work, I know/knew people who I would consider to be more dangerous or bad ass than a damn QB.........
