2010 QB Controversy in Carolina?

Recommended Posts

Now I know you are a big time homer. Oakland game ring a bell? And actually he had 7 or 8 bad games in total this year.

Holy poo the guy won us 12 games... Im not just a homer, we arnt gonna change qbs talk all you want about pat white and whoever the fug else you think were gonna take or sign, but the fact is Delhomme will be the starter next season, i really cant believe we all keep bringing this up after every season.

He had about 3 bad games.

I assume you're talking about Tampa Bay, Oakland, and Arizona but don't forget the Minnesota game (3 fumbles, no TDs, and simply couldn't make a good throw in the second half). That makes four bad games. Plus, he actually played pretty poorly in the second Tampa Bay game but his performance was forgiven because of the victory and 300 yds rushing. Still, that one was particularly bad, considering that he had so much support from the running game.

height is not a indicator at all...GMs and teams dont take risk and are not willing to change so they will never know..some of the best on both sides of the ball are undersized..and plus a lot QBs that are 6'2 are not that at all the round up..big time.

Rounding up is done in college press guides, not the combine bios( measured in 1/8"). Let's see, one 6' 0'' starter out of 32 (3%) and Schockey, Smith and Wallace(shortest at 5' 11") as backups. Poor is probably too positive of a description of his chances to start, stinks may be more appropriate.

i am telling what i see myself a lot of so called 6'2 QBs are not 6'2 at all..they just round up..

the hole height thing for a QB is stupid there can plenty of drew Brees type players out there but teams will never know because they will not take a chance on them.

ok yea and our run game sucked vs the bucs the first time, the vikings and the cardinals as well. Is your next post gonna be that our run game needs to be revamped? I mean we didnt have a 100 yard rusher till week 5.

So you're gonna use the same old excuse for his piss poor play too? I guess Williams was the one out there knocking the ball out of his hands 3 times vs the Vikings. I guess Stewart was out there pointing and telling Delhomme where to throw the ball vs the Cards.

Yea by stewart and williams not even being an asset in the cardinal game (playcalling as well) they pretty much did throw delhomme out there with know where to throw it. If you find a better option for this season let me here it. Because so far ive heard pat white whos a god damn joke, derek anderson who is no better than delhomme and had winslow and braylon to throw to, cassel whos gone.

    • It didn’t feel like we’re the Bills bc we’re not a consistent conference contender yet we’re a rebuilding team. But with the game on the line we played just like the Bills went straight down the field and scored a tuddy then converted a 2pt conversion I have to give credit where credit is due. And the chiefs played us like we were the Bills in an AFC championship game, drive down the field and kicked a walk off FG to win at the end very similar to me. Are saying our defense stunk yesterday? Vs an elite offense team with elite coaching an elite QB man idk what you want them to do. KC does these things to the best defenses in the league consistently to win AFC chips and Super Bowls let’s not devalue who they are. I saw us play KC to the wire and barely lose defense did its thing as much as it could. Bingo!!! We’re also forgetting how injured we’ve been defensively this year, yes we need to build up the D but adding a few pieces and D Browns successful rehab should make us a very strong unit again. Couple that with the offense we saw yesterday and we’re winning our division.
    • Canales deserves a lot of credit. I'm very pleased. He's definitely making strides with Bryce. I also think some of his lack of commitment to Bryce as the starter is to motivate Bryce. I think he liked what he saw when Bryce was benched.  Even the Defense looks tremendously better with just a couple more pieces getting healthy. Wonnum has made our pass rush viable again.  I would love to see this team with one more good player across the defensive front, DT or an edge rusher.
    • I didn’t see any limitations yesterday
