2010 QB Controversy in Carolina?

Recommended Posts

they'll all go and we will start The Golden Calf of Bristol at QB. We will be the fail this season because we lost our long snapper and have this way tough schedule and have no depth what so ever. Fox and Hurney will be gone and to replace them we will have Cowher as both. It must happen.

I'm not sure we keep Moore.

I think we will keep McCown and with in the next couple of months we will probably extend Delhomme.

Might as well start DeAngelo Williams - oh wait, we have...

Don't even say it, The Golden Calf of Bristol had a great college career, but he's no NFL QB, and never will be...

Of course that's IMO...

Jake wont stink, he didnt stink this year. Were an 11-12 win team with delhomme under center. He had ONE awful game. But part of that had to do with playcalling, you cant come out and run the ball 9 times and excpect the pass to work. We could of ran all over AZ we just gave up on it wayyy to early.

Delhomme actually had many awful games this year.

How about play more games? I know there is a reason he hasn't but one of his wins was against a team already in the Playoffs, another was a loss against a good team. The other win was agianst New Orleans. I bet a handful of backups could have had similar results. Some of you treat his 2-1 record like he's the next coming of Christ.

He has shown me he can be a GREAT backup. That is it...so far.

So you would be for starting Moore over Delhomme? That was my point. Unless Delhomme has another injury we aren't going to see him in hardly any games, at least regular season games.

If you don't have a lot of trust in Moore thats fine. I'm not trying to sway anyone on the issue. I do believe that there will be a controversy brewing over the next year and Moore is going to be apart of it.

nothing against pat white, hes a great athlete. but IMO hes not gonna be a good nfl qb. my reason behind this is if u look at the top qbs in the league today there know for there rifle arm, and bein able to thread the needle. IMO we dont want a qb that alot of people think might be better playin wr. he could prove me wrong, and if he does great. but i thnk hes got bust written all over him

But white actually can do those things. He can thread a needle with the ball and can throw the ball real quick. My main concern with him is his quick reads and reading the defense correctly.

Now I know you are a big time homer. Oakland game ring a bell? And actually he had 7 or 8 bad games in total this year.

i like pat white as a QB my only thing is he looks like he will get broken in half by a NFL DE..rem the panthers wanted to keep baz as #4 QB and slot WR to use on special teams..so we may do that with white..idk

but i hope he goes to a team that will use him for more than the wildcat because soon as teams figure out how to defend the play he will get cut.

Pat White may add some versatility to an offense, but his chances of becoming a starting QB are poor. He was measured in Indy at 6' 0" and while it may seen simplicistic, height IS an indicator of success. Fans may not think so, but GMs and facts say yes. Brees is the only "franchise" QB @ 6' and Warner/Mcnabb @ 6' 2" are the next smallest. All the others (Mannings, Brady, Roth, Palmer), as well as, last years top 2 (Ryan/Flacco) are in the 6' 4-5" range.

This year's top 2 are barely above 6' 2" and it will be interesting to see if this "deficiency" affects where they are picked.

height is not a indicator at all...GMs and teams dont take risk and are not willing to change so they will never know..some of the best on both sides of the ball are undersized..and plus a lot QBs that are 6'2 are not that at all the round up..big time.
