Official Preseason Game 2: Panthers vs Dolphins Thread

I was stunned to see a Rivera defense not respond after a drive or two with Reggie Bush doing whatever he wanted. Guys going untouched through the middle or bouncing it outside. And did Munnerlyn look lost to anyone else? Lets hope these preseason reps help him adjust to starting CB, because I'm not convinced yet that he's up for it.

The defense scares me, though. If any (and I mean ANY) of our key defensive starters go down this year. Expect a looooong season.

Offense was horrible tonight, but I do place that on Rivera not wanting to open the entire playbook in the preseason. Added with the fact that we're missing Otah, Schwartz, J-Stew, and Smitty. I'm not to scared on that front.

But the defense has got to improve if we're wanting to be competitive this year.

Yea little ass Bush was running through our defense like he was a Monstar from Space Jam.

It wasn't just Munnerlyn, but none of our DB's seem to know what a slant is or how to defend one.

Yes, they took away the running game and called a passing game right? Tell me what you saw. I could be wrong I guess. But I think they put the pressure on Cam with the calls. He didn't melt but didn't shine either.

I pretty much saw us trying to run early and going away from it to see how Cam can handle playing from behind. I think they tried to open the offense up more like it was in the last preseason game to see how he could do with his arm.

Just didn't turn out very well considering the line, our WRs, and the young QB.

edit: We ran on the first two drives, we just got no yardage at all, and remember, the Fins DOMINATED the time of possession, so...

The savior Cam Newton looked awful. No spin tonight... awful.

And to turn around a common criticism of last year, Clausen didn't look great but found a way to put points on the board.

Welcome to making excuses...

There you go....A person who feels Cam has to play lights out after four weeks of TC or he's "aweful."
