I would be very pleased if we could head into next season with 10ish million in cap space.

I think it will be that or a little more. I feel Rivera will weed out some on this team, they will restructure some deals etc.

I think this is exactly what the new CBA was meant to be. Veterans making a lot of money while the unproven rookies don't make outrageous amounts. We just happen to be one of the only teams this year with quite a few of our star players being free agents or in their last contract year. This will be the norm from now on and other teams will be "overpaying" their star players. And it isn't really "overpaying" it's more like redistribution of salaries.

This signing does not clear cap room for this yr. Kalil is still gonna make his 10.1 Mil this yr, the signing is a 5 yr extension
