Out of Market (TV) Huddlers

I live in Knoxville, and we have to watch Titans nonsense every week. I get the NFL Audio Pass from NFL.COM. You can listen to the games live on your computer...not as fun as watching, but it's very affordable.

Also, if you have basic cable, I know that Charter and Comcast just got Nfl Network AND Redzone channel starts soon. I can't wait for Redzone channel this year, and it's all a part of my little $10 sports package.

Tell me more about this, please... Ive had SundayTicket going on 7yrs now and did not know about this. They cut 1 payment in 1/2, or the Ticket cost? The best offer I could get this year was $10 off my total bill per month for the next year, free HD ($10) for 3 or 6 months, and Showtime free for 3 months... Last year it was $10 off each of the 6 SunTicket payments and the iPod viewing free, although I never watched it from my iPod I couldve if I wanted to... i read somebody on here got the Ticket for $200 because the commercial doesnt say "new customers only"...

Just call and tell them you are needing to cancel Sunday ticket. Keep calling back until you have a guy that sounds cool and tell him you love the service but your wife lost her job or some other hardship, just kinda shoot the poo with him for a while. Tell him you hate to cancel because it's the only way you can watch your team but you just don't have much of an entertainment budget anymore, what with little Timmy's special education costing so much, or his braces putting you out of pocket. They'll cut it down from 6 payments of $66 to usually 6 payments of $30ish. Just pick a tearful hardship, they'll drop it. Been doing it every year for four years now. ESPECIALLY if you haven't gotten any new equipment lately and are no longer bound by the two year contract. They'll hook you right up. Hope this helps.

I thought about that, but I didnt want my bluff called... "OK Mr Sgam, we'll go ahead and cancel that for the year.." "Oh, wait a minute, my wife just got a job, nevermind..."

I'd give it a try now. If they turn it off you could always just call back in a couple weeks and say you want it back before the season starts. It's not like they're gonna question why you turned it off. If they ask just say you had money troubles but you've been able to make ends meet and you want it back. No harm, no foul. Like I said, I've been doing it for four years and not once have they actually shut me off. It's all profit for them, they'd rather make $350, but they'd also rather make $200 then zero.

yeah, i'm kinda at a loss. comcast offers the nfl network, but it doesn't give all the games live. my current [viable] options are [1] online streaming or [2] bar. i have a ps3 - that i rarely play - but no one i know has a DirectTV account i can use. ah...moves away from home hurt you in so many little ways you don't think of at first :banghead:

It's live. Watched it last week, probably about 20 seconds behind though, b/c huddle chat room would call out play results right before I saw them.

just saw where they have nfl preseason live. the price is $14.99, which would be cheaper than going to a bar for the next 3 games. the internet feed kinda scares me though. it seems like it would lag big time seeing that it is in HD.

you can usually find decent quality streams if you look hard enough. I really wish the NFL offered an online version of Sunday Ticket for a single team. =|

You can my friend... Just have to move outside the States, Mexico, Bermuda, Antigua or the Bahamas.

I got a room in the basement:) Danes should be the happiest people on the planet:)
