What do you want to see tonight?

Want to see Newton look better in the Red Zone.

Longball throwers often struggle on a shorter field. Saw signs of that in week one. Hope to see improvement here.

the over throw was a timing issue to armanti, and the other passes had small windows with good db play/ pi.he put it in for the wr to make a play.

Top 5

1) Smitty of Old - Glad to hear Smitty is healthy and playing up to his caliber in camp. I hope it translates to him proving to the rest of the NFL that he has not lost a step and is still one of today's elite WR's.

2) Cam to Smitty - Been dreaming of this since we drafted Cam.

3) Cam run play - I was pleasantly suprised that Cam didn't feel the need to break any plays off for a run versus the Giants, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't dying to see him tuck and run for a first down against an NFL defense.

4) Solid Play from the Secondary - With this being a main concern for most, if we can't keep the Miami QB's (or lack thereof) in check tonight and they are able to pass on us consistently, we will be in for another loooong season.

5) O-Line - After all the kudos our O-line had been getting in the off-season, I was disappointed in their showing against the Giants. I am not writing them off by any means because we have a ton of talent, but I am looking for a much better performance out of the first team against a blitz happy Miami Defense.

# Good decision making by whomever is QB'ing. I want Newton to be the starter but if Jimmy is playing much better than he is then it's his job.

# Defensive Tackle pressure. Want to see how much push the interior is getting on consistant basis.

# Who ever want's the #2 WR position to step up.

# A win and no injuries.

-Henne to scan the field and make some 20+ yard throws to Marshall

-Reggie Bush being used in motion, to cause mismatches

-Rookie Daniel Thomas breaking some decent runs

-Clyde Gates

-Cam Wake come clean and blow up Cam Newton

-and in all honesty.....Cam Newton do very good against the Dolphins top 10 defense.

(I like the panthers, so I'd love to see Newton do some special things tonight)

Smitty doesn't run a lot of fades because of his size but would be pretty cool if it happened.

He hasn't in a while, but Jake used to toss 'em up for him. I guess they were less fades and more of an in-air battle for the ball a la Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

:p

...that would make a good commercial
