Still disrespected...

1. 2-14 team

2. Unproven QB's (likely starting rookie)

3. New Coach

4. Totally new scheme

5. FA moves were re-signing our young talent

6. Shortened off season

Why does it surprise you that we are not getting respect?

You earn respect, it is not just given. We have done nothing yet to earn it.

Win on the field and things will change.

We'e also in a division wit 3 10-win teams.

Also have the leauge's toughest schedule.

Living 1000 miles away from Carolina I can tell you how most average NFL fans think about the Panthers.....much the way I think of Arizona.

Arizona had a great game against the Steelers in the Superbowl, but I have never considered them a good team and most of the time they are the bottom of their division. They can never establish an identity and I just don't believe they are any good. I could be dead wrong on this, but being an average NFL fan, I simply think Arizona is a average to below average team.

Many people look at Carolina the exact same way. They have had a couple good season and played in one of the most exciting Superbowls, but for the most part people think of Carolina as the bottom of the NFC South. It's just how it is.

I hate it, but the only thing that changes perception is winning the Superbowl. Until Carolina wins one, we will be considered a lower tier team.

I hear Detroit and St. Louis being mentioned as sleepers this preseason. Both have high expectations from their franchise QB's (if Stafford can stay healthy of couse). They also showed flashes towards the end of last season.

That's all these analysts have - what are the most recent accomplishments for non-playoff teams. Bradford looked great last year, no reason to think he can't be better this year in a piss-poor NFCW. Rams could easily win that division. Detroit won't win the North, but they have shown some improvement and have potential.
