Stewart, Goodson, Gamble and Barnridge all questionable for Miami game

This argument is filled with either blind hatred for Jeremy Shockey because he was a Saint, or blind homerism for Barnidge.

Either way, this argument is insane.

You can't look at the argument in a vaccuum.

We're building for the future not trying to win now.

Are they really that far apart now?

Who will be better next year? Three years? Etc

Jeremy Shockey helps build for the future. Do you not think that he can teach the offense to other TEs? To Hartsock? While also building confidence for a young QB?

I understand we're not trying to win now, but, Rivera is obviously trying to teach. And being able to teach makes Jeremy Shockey an asset like none other.

ya one catch for 55 yards...good catch and run...but he had 1 catch

12 catches in 2009 and none his rookie year or after.

You asked for a flash, that sticks out. Ball was a little underthrown but Barny made the play then showed good speed in YAC.

It's a flash.

He's young with limited opportunities. Shockey is old and falling apart.

Shockey isn't even the #1 TE anymore. You can keep him, but you can't keep him over keeping Barny.

Shockey isn't going to make us win a SB this year and he'll be gone next.

Why cut future talent for one year (probably less) of a backup?

I never said cut barnidge and I never said anything about jeremy shockey. Im just saying if rivera does cut him im not going to lose any sleep over it. its not like the guy is a game changer.

i've never been a fan of shockey, but i would love for him to spectacular for us this season. i just don't honestly see it happening. he's been extremely injury prone and hasn't put up great numbers since leaving the Giants

i know every one has a twinkle in their eye with the half decent play we've seen out of clausen and cam, and the excitement a real offense has brought us, but this season is still a rebuilding effort. the team needs to be looking to the future, and shockey ain't it. Olsen's our starter for years to come, but barnidge is what can become that solid #2 that we'll need, and hopefully shockey can be this year

cutting him loose would be asinine, and somebody else would ****** him up in a heartbeat and we'd get to watch him have a pretty good career somewhere else while we kick ourselves for lack of talent at the TE position behind Olsen for years to come

b/c if he is destroying our weak CBs that shouldn't be on the field w/ 1s....it is tough for the D to get in a good practice or for us to get a good feel of what we really can do.

and yes, with good QB play Marshall would destroy Gamble.....but not sure you will have that.

Which Marshall will show up?
