This is ridiculous with stewart I can't believe people though he could be a lead back. I was excited I thought he was healthy this season but apprently his achilles will never get better. He hurt himself after 2 carries good lord.

O well sutton really needs a chance so ill just focus on the positive.

Wouldnt you guys rather them sit out and be healthy when the real games start? Who cares if Marshall destroys the other corners (imo he'd destroy gamble too, but thats another argument) ? It's a preseason game. Meaningless.

b/c if he is destroying our weak CBs that shouldn't be on the field w/ 1s....it is tough for the D to get in a good practice or for us to get a good feel of what we really can do.

and yes, with good QB play Marshall would destroy Gamble.....but not sure you will have that.

This is due to the lockout, IMO. There are a lot of Achilles and hamstring injuries going around the league.

He will, Shockey is injury prone. And Hartstock is a blocking TE.

So, you would rather have four TEs with one being hurt, or have three TEs and one of them is hurt?

If the injury is bad enough, there's no way we can keep him on the roster. But, I guess that we could place him on IR, and keep him that way.

Most of the giants were healthy, and we had a ton out for that game. Most of the Dolphins are healthy and here we are with a good bit out again.. Wtf is up with how we practice, or are we just always unlucky with the injury bug?

Hartstock is likely to be listed as a FB.

on the final roster.

as usual, stewart handles his injuries like they were paper cuts.

he touched the ball 2x against the giants...but he actually played 3-4 snaps after getting hurt, and finished training camp without missing a beat.

he's no more a liability as the lead back than...oh let's say...deangelo Williams.

Between Stewart and Otah 2008 may be the most injury prone draft ever.

I still think it is unfair that Stewart gets the "injury prone" label out of Double Trouble.....NFL players play through and with injury. Stewart does that.....yet people act like he is Mr. Glass while D-Will has his feet up on IR.

I for one doe not consider Stewart injury prone.

My only concern would be the risk of having Stewart as your only feature back....like we woudl have done if we let DLo walk.

Given his nagging (albeit never serious enough to miss games) issues, more than doubling his carries might not have been prudent.

Again, maybe our staff feels the same way and that was another factor in the DLo contract.
