Most don't want to see Clausen succeed because they feel if he does it will not allow Cam to play. This obviously makes no sense but I feel most deep down feel this way.

2009: good talent, good season

2010: clearly weak talent around him with Panthers, poor season

2010 - Gross, Kalil were pro bowlers....Smitty and Williams former ones...and Stewart is pro bowl caliber. We have already addressed the D being more than respectable and there only real issues was the O not doing there part.

The OL having some injuries and shuffling on the ride side does not = weak talent.

The one consistant from Clausen from ND to the NFL......he makes OLs look much worse than they are w/ his pocket play (David Carr like).

Jake was never a great QB if you were to break down his play

but Jake always had that "it" quality....he passed the eyeball test. It wasn't going to be pretty but he could get the job done and do big things in the process.....
