Rising Up, Falling Down.....

Which team in the NFL do you think is on the rise. Likewise, which team do you think is going to start falling.

For me I think the Dolphins are on the rise. They surprised everyone last year by making an appearance in the playoffs. They just need to tweak their defense a little and they could be there again next season.

I think the Cardinals are going to be the ones starting to fall next season. They lost both of their coordinators and lost several key players on their defensive line. It is also unkown if Boldin will be returning next season.

you're probably right.

i don't see the cards being the top of their division next year or having a better record.

the dolphins....they could definitely give the pats a run for their money next year. it won't be pretty but they have room to climb.

i think the Dolphins have the toughest schedule in the league next year..and that wildcat will not be a suprise any more.i think they will be around 9-7 or 10-6

i hate to say it but i think the pats are on the rise..they have i think 4 drafts pick in the first 2 rounds and they get brady back..

i think KC is on the rise too and the lions since there is nowere to go up for them.

ima have to agree with u, the dolphins had a pretty easy schedule coming off a 1-15 season, and then kinda had the suprise factor goin for them too with the whole wild cat thing. i thnk there still a playoff team but will prob have to battle for the last wild card spot

Teams on the rise:

AFC Houston Texans - Defense is finally coming around. The offense seems to be hitting it stride both in the passing and running games. If they can add a power runner behind Slaton then they are set.

Other consideration - New England Patriots, New York Jets, Denver Broncos

NFC San Fransisco 49er's - There are a lot of question marks for this team heading into the next season but what I like about them is the division they play in and their head coach.

Other consideration - New Orleans Saints, Greenbay Packers, Washington Redskins

Teams on the fall:

AFC Miami Dolphins - This team might actually get better from last season but their division and their schedule is going to hurt them big time.

Other consideration - Baltimore Ravens, Tennesee Titians, Indiappolas Colts

NFC Arizona Cardnials - If for no other reason than the curse of the Super Bowl losers is going to catch up with them. It's hard to give a team that went 9-7 during the regular season a lot of hope going into the next season no matter how they played in the post season.

Other consideration - Carolina Panthers, Philidilphia Eagles, Minnasota Vikings

I hate to say it but I think the falcons are on the rise.

As much as I made fun of their fatty #90, his loss is a big one and will make it easier to run up the middle. So while Ryan is good, I have serious questions about their D.

Plus their fans are all unemployed/unemployable. Their fans are the only people that could not even get a job at Burger King.

on the fall - Giants, Dolphins, Falcon's , Cardinals.

On the Rise - Pats, KC, Detroit, Saints, (Sea Hawks, because they win that crappy division next year)

Carolina is kinda like Pitt right now, just being themselves. staying steady.

i disagree there the giants DEF next year will be very good and there running game is nice i think we will see a rise in them next year.

    • i think i go in the opposite direction of most. my ideal retirement is living in some old downtown area in a flat above some shop or something.  life out in the country was just something i got real tired of. My kids actually miss some of living out there, which i understand. that was where they grew up for the most part. 40 acres with a 2.5 acre pond. it was beautiful, but also way too much (and too expensive) for me to keep up with.
    • FLASHBACK: I remember back when ESPN was just starting--he was their anchor.  They used to show stuff like Rodeo and field hockey--I remember laughing when he went to a commercial mocking a cycling competition in Utah (or something similar--I made that up) and I laughed.  I told my dad, "We may have us a new anchor when we get back from commercial."  When they came back from commercial, Berman was looking very serious and he said, "Any comments by me do not reflect the views of ESPN....The men and women who cycle are dedicated athletes and we are honored to shine light on their sport." (Paraphrasing).  Dad laughed hysterically. My first memory of him--and that was like 1980.
    • Might not have a team without them. Although that probably applies to the Panthers, too.
