Here's the thing. There is nothing wrong with your points, as long as you realize they are your opinion. You said that minorities are targeted at a higher rate than whites. Thats an opinion. You haven't backed it up with actual stats. That makes it your opinion, not a fact. If you can show me something reliable that proves that minorities are the target of these investigations at rate that exceeds their participation in college football and basketball, then I will admit you are correct. Otherwise, yours is an opinion, no more or less valid than any other opinion here.

When it's all said and done, today's athlete can do both, do what they love and get paid for it and earn that degree when the time comes.

so if i am a college football player on scholarship and i can throw a football well, i'm wrong/immoral for wanting endorsement deals because i already have it so good

if i'm a music major on scholarship and i can play an instrument well, it's totally cool if i get paid for my musical ability because uh.........

Every Big School in the country has this sort of stuff happening right now. Its just Miami's turn to look like the bad guys, last year it was Auburn with Cam, the year before that it was USC, so why is this such a huge deal when an ex-Miami player says "...dont listen to the media..." I think its just Shockey being loud mouth Shockey. All in all this has nothing to do with the Panthers up-coming season so why are we wasting our time talking about it ?
