If Jimmy came in the first quarter and shat all over the bed, there's no pressure on Cam. All he has to do is NOT be horrible. How is that fair? Jimmy had the pressure to perform last week, Cam has it now. Both will play 1 quarter with the starters. Winner takes all.

Doesn't having Newton starting limit our play book a bunch? I can see him starting down the road, if clausen fall apart....but we would be a run first team with a pure rook at the helm...although, it would be a blast see him run and gun...

Newton and Clausen have the same amount of time in Chud's playbook. If you're wanting the qb with the most knowledge of the plays, then Anderson should start.

some people are acting like Cam starting means he's opening day starter, he's not, this is a competition. now if Cam plays great and throws 2 TDs then it's highly likely he will, but he could go out and throw 2 ints and not be named opening day starter. NOW, he will start sometime, maybe opening day, maybe later, but being named starter now doesnt mean anything EXCEPT it's a QB competition.

Bess is our #2. I'd be close to say hes our #1 over marshall.....but Marshall has all the ability in the world. Misi is injured, but not serious so JT is starting. Odrick is a beast, but we are sooooooo DEEP at DE with Mcdaniel, Starks, Langford, Odrick.

my questions about Miami are simple. ONE QB and TWO Reggie Bush. For QB, i really think they should at least ask Denver about The Golden Calf of Bristol. Maybe Denver will trade The Golden Calf of Bristol and if they do then they should trade for him as the competition for Henne. As for Bush, my question is does he fulfill the potential that the Saints THOUGHT he had??? Remember the last Saints RB and former Heisman Winner who went to Miami??? he turned out to be great in Miami and if Bush does what Williams did in Miami and finally become a great back than Miami should be good next year.

Good point, but I also assumed Clausen has been at full speed for a season now and would be able to grasp Chud's playbook faster..besides imagine the calls if Anderson started...Dick's in the dirt?

In any case, what a relief that we have an actual freaking QB competition w/ both rookies and a vet in the mix...poor Foxy has to deal the Tibow/Orton deal, not his strong point..

What the Miami Dolphins need is a real fugging Quarterback. No more projects, no more "hope hes good", no more cast-off's from other teams. I am ok with going into the season, with a more vertical passing offense, and more agressive offense than we had with Dan Henning....with Henne and Moore as our qbs.

Reggie Bush has REALLY impressed me. Every single day after practice is over, he is on the field catching balls off the jugs machines, hitting sleds, and running gassers.....and he's the only person on the field. I saw him in the scrimmage we had last sunday, and the dude was impressive. Now will that translate into the games? Who knows. Can he stay healthy? Not sure.

But him paired with Daniel Thomas REALLY makes me giddy.

Our defense is really good. Vontae Davis and Sean Smith are some of the best 2 young DBs in the league. Wake rushing the passer is amazing to watch. Karlos Dansby paired with Kevin Burnett is awesome in the middle. We will see how it goes.....the difference between 7 wins this year, and 11 wins is Quarterback play.

it is a competition....but one where the coaching staff and front office both have a guy they want to win it.
