Five yards? It was behind D-Will, maybe out of reach had he tried to reach back without tripping, but definitely not five yards. C'mon now.

yeah not five yards, Clausen just threw it to his wrong shoulder.....and w/ the little screened out Williams was running throwing it at his back shoulder was a horrific place.

Jimmy didn't throw to DLo's back shoulder, he threw it to where DLo was, and not to where he was going. The ball had left his hand before DLo had even gotten to his cut. You can't tell me receivers are supposed to run the entirety of their route, starting at the line of scrimmage, looking back for the ball.

The only way the throw would've ever gotten to 34 is if he was running a hitch route. That's obviously not what the play was.

I'll even diagram it up for you guys and make another retarded thread about it.

Kinda surprising, considering Jimmy just had his best practice as a pro to date. I'm guessing this is more of Rivera giving an equal opportunity amongst both QB's. In which whoever performs the best, gets the starting job.

Which is how you let 'competition' play it out. Rivera continues to outshine Fox by the day.

Practice? We talkin bout practice...

That's all good and well but show me something with Wake or Taylor in your face... Throw something on a rope and don't look scared, maybe then I'll find some hope with Pickles

Not so much you but people who get hyped about a good or bad practice

100% right. This is not about who is going to start against Arizona nor is it about practice not mattering, this is about what Rivera promised the fans and the players: a competition at QB. Both guys will have seen a #1 defense, both guys will have played against 2s (maybe 3s too, who knows how long Clausen will play for sure), both guys will have played with our 1s and 2s... and once you add all that up to how players did in practice, THEN you have a good idea.

The reality is that practice is still important, but obviously looking good in practice isn't enough. Have to perform on the field, and I think both our young guys have so far. Let's see if they can both up their game and improve in the areas that they were weak in last weekend.

People can't face facts, I have no idea how Cams gonna work out, but Pickles is what he is. He can have a few good plays but he's David Carr scared. How's Carr doing these days?

While I appreciate your ability to predict the future, I'll respectfully wait to see how he plays a bit more before I agree with you that Clausen is the next Carr, since he hasn't taken anywhere near the pounding Carr did. We all agree Clausen sucks at anticipating pressure, but he did have a couple nice plays last week when he knew it was coming (unlike last year in the regular season, BLECH) and he certainly has been handling it better in practice (which he couldn't do last year)
