yea, the deal with Nate salley brought us under the one million mark and to keep the team below cap when the salary numbers for the players went up they restructured diggs. So where probably still around 900k under cap right now.

The Panthers do have DT Patrick McDonald from the Canadian League on their roster who has served as a long snapper. Still, I'd much rather have Kyle.

Kalil is one of the best young centers in the NFL. Why in the hell would you want him on your punt team, where he would be required to run down the field, take on blockers who are running full speed, and potentially have to make the tackle?

I didn't know that. I do know that I don't want Kalil doing it though. IMO, that guy will be a pro bowler within the next 2-3 years, so he just needs to concetrate on being the starting center.

Honestly, it makes me nervous to even think about changing the long snapper, but I guess it will have to be done sooner or later anyway though. I just hope the next guy is as solid as Kyle.
