Started a 50 gallon freshwater aquarium this past week

Been the whole regular fresh and full on salt tanks myself through the years. Just started my first foray into a freshwater planted tank about a month ago. Still adding plants and fish. :redface:

Incidentally this tank is in the Man Cave with a 32" Panny wall hung on top. :cheers2:

I have a 55 gallon tank and I absolutely love it. Would really like to swap it to salt, but those damn fish are expensive as hell and make for a pricey flush!!!!

Me!! The hubby and I started a 90 gallon one 4 or 5 months ago

It's expensive to start but less work in the long run compared to a freshwater tank

The price of the fish aren't really that bad...if you buy them young..The most expensive fish I paid for was my Foxface Rabbitfish @$35

We just got back from our latest fishing jaunt... we still haven't caught a catfish that is small enough to go in there, but we did catch a couple of crawdads!

Those crawdads are like "Plastic palm trees?"

my 125 gal freshwater right before I sold it.. pic was taken to post on craigslist..

the Fahaka Puffer that used to live there.. (they get about 18 inches long and need 125 gal minimum..)

and my 75gal before I sold it..

can't wait to set a new one up in the future...

I intend to have a jelly fish tank one day.
