I can only speak for myself, and a ton of people I've met over the years, but I did a lot more dumber things than (hypothetically) receiving $50k..

Look I'm a huge Beason fan but if these allegations are true (they appear to be) then he committed his fair share of violations. Does that change my opinion of Beason? Definitely not, but there is no denying that he received a lot of improper benefits from Shapiro. Did it make him a better football player? Absolutely not, so I really don't care either way but he was a major player implicated in this report....

funny how a kid whose 18 is 10X more likely to get a speeding ticket or into an accident than a 25 year old..

People here forget how impressionable kids are at 18 and 19. I am sure $50k didn't just wind up on their front door step in a briefcase. Normally money is given to players through wealthy boosters that are successful businessmen. If you are 18 years old and an adult that is respected in the community and business world tells you it is okay to take the money, most kids think it is okay to take the money. I think it is easy to look at this from afar, but reality is a different story.

I know this Shapiro cat is in jail for fraud, but I am sure at the time folks around him didn't know he was a scumbag.
