Jon Beason Appears To Be Pretty Involved in the U of M Scandle

Some of Beasons biggest fans here trashed our QBs character and morality over the Auburn accusations this offseason, wonder if theyre.gonna do the same to #52 now? Then again hes not a QB so probably not.

We have a black QB now who is arguably our best QB and the team favorite and you still aren't happy.

was having a conversation totally different than this about the framework set in place 50 years ago (insurance) and how the times have passed it by in this brave new world..

this applies to the NCAA.. and pretty much everything else..

One more interesting thing about this. Miami has not been good the last few years. Its pretty bad if they cheated, and still sucked. At least when USC cheated, they were playing in BCS games.

one of the tweets I saw hit on this

If I were paying players, at what point do I say "Seriously guys, the MPC Computers Bowl? Get off my boat and find your own prostitutes."

Remember when we called Saints fans blind homers for overlooking Reggie Bush's violations?

I didn't give a single fug about that then and I certainly don't now

literally every big time player receives benefits for playing. unless he's still doing dumb poo now(he isn't as far as I'm aware), why on earth should I give a damn about what he did in college?

think the U gets an SMU caliber punishment?

Most of the fan base is expecting it.

I don't recall that.
same here.

not sure why it matters to anyone or why it would even matter to bush? dude got to play in the NFL, got paid ridiculous amounts of money...having an old award taken away just doesn't seem to matter. that's like having a high school diploma taken away after you've gotten your masters or a doctorate. doesn't really matter anymore.

with beason's alleged involvement in alleged activities....it's ancient history. what can they do? take him off the team? unless there is the potential of jail time, i can't see why we should be worried at all.

It's not like this guys were caught with steroids. Breaking the rules doesn't always mean competitive advantage.

Hell, I'd argue that banging prostitutes and cruising on yachts all day would give you a competitive disadvantage.

I don't see what the big deal is. I have a good head on my shoulders (at least I think so) and I don't know if I would turn away access to yachts and money when I was 20 years old. A lot of these guys don't come from much and don't know if they will ever make it in the NFL so they are trying to "cash in" when they can. I don't have a problem with it. Teams are leaving conferences left and right to increase their bottom line. College football is all about money now. I don't like this, but there is no way to stop it.
