--I have no favorites here. I look at several things while other writers are busy watching the ball floating in the air:

1. QB's pre-snap adjustments

I am not sure how as a fan/outsider, you can judge QBs on pre-snap adjustments. For one, you have no idea if adjustments were made at the line from the QB or if they were just part of the original play. And another, the right adjustment could be made but poorly executed. I think it is very difficult to judge Cam, Jimmy, or whoever on pre-snap adjustments. That can be handled only by the coaches.

If Clausen does well this year it would be the heighth of foolishness to trade him away and rely on an unproven Cam

if you are going to assume the coaching staff isn't going to evaluate Cam and blindly trade Clausen...

..then I'm going to assume the coaching staff IS going to evaluate Cam and trade Clausen only if it's the right move..

Fair point. To be clear, it's not something that I see and make an instant judgement on. This is a part of the game that I study during the season, for more than just Jimmy or Cam.

But, it's a fair point and I can see how it's viewed that way.
