UFC lands major TV deal with FOX

Also TUF will be moved to Fridays and will be live with some footage shown from training during the week, etc. But there will be live fights on each episode.

I figured they were moving toward this direction because they've shown less and less of the in the house stuff each season. I don't think it sounds great. Might as well do some other kind of tournament thing without the training aspect.

I remember people telling me the UFC was a fad some years back.

People still say that a decade later, strangely. But they do present themselves in a very juvenile way and I think that contributes to it. But Dana announced they're doing a complete makeover of their media and getting rid of the cheesey metal intro songs and stuff to appeal to people besides bros.

lol I hope you're kidding. His commentary on EliteXC and Strikeforce have been absolutely atrocious. He may be a good commentator for basketball, and he may be a fan of MMA, but he doesn't have the level of understanding or knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport to be a good commentator.
