TRD did not like Pickles because he was brought in to replace Moore.

Once teh Jimmy sucked, he let up because he thought Moore would get another chance.

Then, Cam was brought in to replace Moore, and effectively put the last nail in the coffin on Matt's tenure here, and possibly, his career. That is why he currently resents Cam.

TRD's dislike of Pickles has nothing to do with Moore... Moore was a better option than Clausen, but Moore wasn't under contract and likely wanted a chance to start some place, long-term. He's also not really much of a "veteran teaching backup" which seemed to be what the Panthers wanted, so it made sense to part ways with him. Parting ways with Jimmy wouldn't have really been smart because Hurney was convinced he could develop into a solid player still, so that... yeah, anyway...

TRD disliked Pickles because of his attitude and his hype I think, if I recall anyhow. This is the first argument I got into with him... Something about TRD being from that area of SoCal and having watched him play and not being impressed.
