I can see how it would either go incredibly good, or incredibly, incredibly bad.

On one hand, we have nothing but young DTs, two which are rookies who missed a load of snaps because of the lockout, who are learning a new system. It would be good to have a veteran on the field with them to help them out.

On the other hand, Tank Johnson is not known as a high character guy. I'm not sure Beason would get along with him, and I don't know how well his and Jeremy Shockey's egos/attitudes will clash.

I think Tank is more of just your standard idiot. I remember watching him on Hard Knocks and doesn't seem like an all around bad dude.....

I think if Rivera does want to sign him, there needs to be a large interview process.

He could be just the type of player we need for a year, to anchor the defensive line. But, he could also be the straw that broke the camel's back, as it were.
